MILDEF TARANTULA
Mildef Tarantula HMAV is a Malaysian-designed 4×4 V-hull mine-resistant infantry mobility vehicle, developed by Mildef International Technologies in collaboration with STRIDE and the Malaysian Armed Forces and first revealed on February 11, 2021. Capable of transporting a crew of ten, it weighs approximately 14 tonnes gross (11 tonnes empty), measures 5.6 m in length, 2.5 m in width and height, and is powered by a 330 hp Caterpillar engine that enables speeds up to 110 km/h. The vehicle offers ballistic and mine protection that meets NATO STANAG 4569 levels (2A for hull, 2B for underbelly), and it can be equipped with a 12.7 mm Remote-Controlled Weapon Station (RCWS).
